A few points to consider for the first round of winter testing:
- Fernando Alonso will not be making an appearance in Jerez and will leave testing duties to Felipe Massa for the first three days and third driver and ex HRT driver Pedro de la Rosa for the fourth day. Discounting the first test as a means to make sure the ‘componants are put together properly’, he decided not to attend, the only driver to do so.
- Force India are the last team to confirm their second driver, Paul di Resta will be joined by James Rossiter, former F1 test driver for BAR Honda, Super Aguri and Honda Racing, and Jules Bianchi.
- Williams have brought a revised 2012 spec car inthe 2013 livery.
